To support the cause of meaningful cinema in India, Planman also produces feature films under the banner of Planman Motion Pictures. Planman Motion Pictures created a stir with its debut release, Saanjhbatir Roopkathara (Bangla) in 2002, when the film got the distinction of being the first ever regional film acquired by the Hollywood studio Columbia Tristar (Sony Pictures Entertainment). It also got selected among 7 best international films of 2002 at London Film Festival, got 9 awards and was screened at 12 international film festivals. The next mainstream release, Rok Sako To Rok Lo (Hindi) created world history by becoming the first film ever to be premiered on a mobile phone network (Airtel) using EDGE technology. Planman Motion Picture's next two releases; Dosar (Bangla] and Mithya (Hindi) created another history of sorts when both the films got the official selection at world's most prestigious Cannes Film Festival
